Na noite desta sexta-feira (13), Goiás e Avaí se enfrentaram pela 26ª rodada da Série B, no Estádio Hailé Pinheiro. Dessa maneira, o Verdão buscou o triunfo sob seus domínios e venceu por 2 x 1. A saber, Rafael Gava, Edson e Pagnussat marcaram os gols da partida.

1° tempo
Em resumo, a primeira etapa foi marcada por poucas emoções. Com mais posse de bola, o Goiás buscava mais o ataque, mas sem conseguir furar o bloqueio defensivo dos visitantes. Aos 2′, Juninho chegou pela primeira vez com perigo após disputa de Edu com o goleiro, mas o bandeira assinalou impedimento no lance. Já aos 10′, Rafael Gava cobrou escanteio e Marcão apareceu para cabecear nas mãos de César, que defendeu em dois tempos.
Durante os 20 minutos seguintes, as ações se estenderam para ambos os lados de forma mais tímida e com pouca criação. Dessa maneira, mais uma oportunidade de gol surgiu pelo lado dos donos da casa, aos 32′. Rafael Gava recebeu na entrada da área e bateu de primeira rente à trave. Com isso, o duelo foi para o intervalo com pouca ameaça do time catarinense e sem eficiência dos Esmeraldinos.

A segunda etapa começou com um lance que ditou os rumos da partida. Logo aos 1′, Welliton Matheus fez boa jogada individual pela direita, cruzou para área e encontrou Rafael Gava, que mandou para o fundo das redes: 1 x 0. Ainda pressionando no ataque após o tento, Edu tentou ampliar para o Alviverde, aos 15′, mas César pegou.
Aos 21′, o Leão respondeu com Vagner Love, que quase empatou. O camisa 9 recebeu na área e tentou no cantinho, parando em Lucas Ribeiro e na marcação de impedimento. Com isso, os donos da casa trataram de ampliar a vantagem para seguir o 2° tempo com mais tranquilidade. Após cobrança de falta de Rafael Gava, aos 25′, Edson subiu mais que a marcação para cabecear no contrapé do goleiro: 2 x 0.
Já aos 36′, o Avaí trouxe mais emoção ao jogo depois de um lance atípico. Tiago recebeu um cruzamento da esquerda e também marcou de cabeça. O lance chegou a ser revisado pelo VAR, mas validado logo em seguida: 2 x 1. Na sequência, a equipe catarinense chegou a tentar o empate em uma bola forte de Andrey, que passou perto do gol, mas não houveram mais mudanças no placar.
