Pressionado no comando do Goiás, Márcio Zanardi foi um dos principais nomes cobrados pela má fase vivida pelo time no último mês. Por isso, ele também foi o alvo da comemoração da vitória sobre o Guarani, no domingo (21), por parte dos jogadores esmeraldinos.
Assim, ele concedeu entrevista coletiva pós-jogo e analisou o cenário do confronto, que foi dramático. A saber, ele também aproveitou a oportunidade para destacar o trabalho e suas metas no Alviverde.

Mudança de estratégia
“ Acho que nem nos nossos melhor sonhos imaginaríamos que esse cenário iria acontecer. A única coisa que pedi aos jogadores é para fazer o melhor todas as vezes. Toda vez que a gente faz o nosso melhor, nos aproximamos da vitória. Claro que ela era importante para voltarmos para a competição, mas eles foram realmente guerreiros. Tivemos que mudar nossa estratégia de jogo desde o primeiro minuto.
Sabíamos que, a qualquer momento, eles iriam se desorganizar e nós tivemos resiliência e força. Eu trabalhei muito a parte mental deles porque, toda vez que você sai atrás [no placar], é sempre muito difícil. Mas os atletas são experientes e inteligentes e eu cobrei muito deles. Então, está todo mundo de parabéns. É entender que a vitória foi importante, mas ela dessa forma faz com que que voltemos para a competição.
Eu cobrei muito deles uma resiliência e competitividade, porque a Série B é importante demais para o clube e para o planejamento. Não adianta jogarmos como se estivessemos na Série A, precisamos roer o osso e é isso que eu cobrei muito deles. Assim, quando a gente ganhou eles me abraçaram e falaram que essa vitória era para mim. Essa vitória é para o Goiás, para a direção e para os torcedores, porque a nossa obrigação é sempre respeitar e honrar essa camisa tão bonita que é a do Goiás.
