No próximo sábado (15), o Vila Nova estreia pelo Brasileirão Série B em disputa contra o Novorizontino. A saber, no primeiro trimestre da temporada, o Colorado participou de três competições no comando de Claudinei Oliveira. Pelo Campeonato Goiano, a equipe chegou às quartas de final, eliminada pelo Anápolis. Em seguida, deixou a Copa do Brasil na segunda rodada no confronto com o Náutico. Por fim, pela Copa Verde, encerrou na oitava colocação.
A partir de agora, o foco total do Vila Nova é concentrado no Brasileirão, que começa em casa, contra o Novorizontino. A saber, os clubes já disputaram quatro partidas – todas pela Série B, segundo o site Futebol de Goyaz. Foram três empates e uma vitória do Novorizontino, em 1991. Na última temporada, os times se enfrentaram no estádio Jorge Ismael de Biasi pela 21ª rodada do campeonato – 1 x 1.

Quem chega ao Vila Nova e quem sai?
Nesta semana, o Colorado já apresentou o lateral Léo Duarte, ex-Inter de Limeira, e o atacante João Celeri, ex-Grêmio Anápolis. Além disso, o ex-Goiás Everton Brito e Caio Dantas também foram anunciados. Diretamente da final do Paulistão, Marcondes, Igor Henrique, Ronald e Cristiano chegam do Água Santa para o Tigre e somam o elenco. Por fim, o meia Daniel, do Operário VG; o defensor Ulisses, do Vasco, e o meia Luciano Naninho, do Voltaço, também chegam para o grupo de Claudinei Oliveira.
Por outro lado, se despediram do Vila: Riquelme, Hyuri, Rickson, Wendson, Vinicius Leite e Carlos Alexandre.
