Pela 1ª fase da Copa do Brasil, nesta quarta-feira (1), o Goiás visitou o ASA em jogo no Estádio do Fumeirão, na cidade de Arapiraca (AL). Sander marcou o gol do Esmeraldino, enquanto Everton Heleno fez para o Gigante. Com isso, a partida terminou empatada em 1 x 1, e o time goiano avançou para a próxima fase do torneio. O jogo começou disputado e com os donos da casa buscando o ataque. A equipe goiana, por sua vez, também tentava assustar o adversário. Com isso, aos 18’, após jogada rápida, Sander chutou cruzado na saída do goleiro Flávio Henrique e abriu o placar para o Goiás: 1 x 0. No entanto, o ASA não se abateu e empatou aos 26’. Vitinho, após ótimo lance pela direita, cruzou na área, e Everton Heleno apareceu para cabecear para o fundo das redes: 1 x 1.
Na sequência, o Gigante seguiu assustando. Aos 34’, Everton Heleno, mais uma vez, surgiu vindo de trás e cabeceou, mas a bola explodiu no travessão. Posteriormente, aos 38’, Anderson Feijão cobrou falta em belo chute, porém, Tadeu foi salvar no ângulo. Por fim, a primeira etapa terminou em 1 x 1.
2º tempo
Logo nos segundos iniciais, Vinícius deu belo passe de peito para Sander, que finalizou de canhota e mandou rente à trave esquerda do goleiro. Em resposta, no primeiro minuto, Everton Heleno invadiu a área a chutou mascado e levou perigo.
Aos 6’, Diego Gonçalves finalizou quase sem ângulo pela esquerda, e Flávio Henrique segurou sem susto. Mais tarde, aos 9’, em cobrança de falta, Felipe Ferreira bateu de longe, e o goleiro do time de Alagoas espalmou. Os donos da casa chegaram com perigo aos 18’, com Everton Heleno, mas foi para fora.
Tentando responder, aos 26’, Gabriel Novaes arriscou, porém, sem perigo. Tito, aos 35’, cabeceou para fora. Aos 47’, Vinícius fez bela jogada e chutou no contrapé do goleiro do ASA, que conseguiu se recuperar e mandar para escanteio
Por fim, sem mais emoções, a partida terminou em 1 x 1. Com isso, o Goiás se classificou para a próxima fase da Copa do Brasil.

O time do Goiás é muito fraco para disputar a Copa do Brasil, a Sul Americana e, mais fraco ainda para disputar e permanecer na Série A.
