Está tudo pronto para o duelo deste sábado entre Amazonas x Goiás, válido pela 37ª rodada da Série B. Assim, antes de a bola rolar no estado do Norte, Vagner Mancini concedeu entrevista coletiva e falou sobre as expectativas para a partida, que pode manter viva as chances de acesso do Esmeraldino ou acabar de vez com o sonho em 2024.
Em resumo, o treinador expôs suas impressões ao enfrentar uma equipe que não briga na parte de cima ou de baixo na tabela. Porém, apesar disso, Mancini não acredita que será fácil enfrentar a Onça Pintada fora de casa, uma vez que o duelo envolve muitos fatores.

“ Deve ser um jogo difícil em função das circunstâncias também. Não só pelo bom time que tem o Amazonas, mas muito em cima de onde a gente vai jogar, em um clima muito diferente do nosso (Manaus é extremamente úmido) e em outro estádio, que não é a Arena da Amazônia […].
Isso torna o jogo diferente. Temos que estar muito atentos à escalação e àquilo que o jogo vai te entregar em termos de circunstâncias. Além disso, tentar entender qual a melhor equipe e se nós vamos ter chuva na hora do duelo. Então, tudo isso está em jogo. Acho que o mais importante é a gente saber montar uma boa estratégia, ir lá com um time forte e sabendo que pode ser que tenha que jogar de uma outra forma. […] “

“ Eu acho que, quando você enfrenta times que estão no meio da tabela, sofre uma pressão menor. É difícil você enfrentar times que estão lutando lá embaixo ou lá em cima porque o cara, às vezes dentro de campo, torna-se irresponsável. O jogo contra o Guarani foi uma amostra disso para nós […]. Por isso, eu acredito que, quando você enfrenta times que já não têm mais ambição no campeonato, enfrenta uma ‘facilidade maior’.
E quando se enfrenta equipes que estão brigando lá em cima, como vai ser nosso último jogo, certamente vai ser estudado, mas super concorrido. Isso porque as duas equipes vão tentar buscar o gol, o que torna o espetáculo muito interessante, mas a carga emocional realmente cai de forma diferenciada sobre as pessoas e os atletas que estão em campo.
Assim, alguns reagem de uma forma e outros de outra e temos que entender que são seres humanos. Mas eu acho que tem um teor diferente em enfrentar equipes que tenham alguma chance no campeonato e outras que já não lutam por mais nada. “
