O Ministério Público de Goiás, em parceria com outros estados, está realizando a operação “Penalidade Máxima II”. Assim, nesta terça-feira (18) foram expedidos três mandados de prisão preventiva, além de 20 mandados de busca e apreensão. Operação
A investigação “Penalidade Máxima II” investiga a manipulação de jogadores em partidas de seu clube em troca de dinheiro. A saber, o Ministério Público disse que um grupo de criminosos comprava os atletas com ofertas que podiam chegar até R$ 100 mil para cometer ações específicas nas partidas. Assim, os jogadores cometiam faltas, penalidades, levavam cartões ou até mesmo levavam o time à derrota, para os criminosos ganharem dinheiro nos sites de apostas.
Dos 20 mandados de busca e apreensão que o MP-GO expedidos, uma emissão é para Goianira (GO), cidade em que Moraes Jr. mora. Assim, o caso sob investigação se refere ao atleta na época em que ele participava do seu antigo clube, o Juventude. A acusação seria de que o jogador recebeu um cartão amarelo em uma partida em cooperação com os criminosos. Por outro lado, o site do Atlético-GO soltou uma nota na noite desta terça-feira (18) falando sobre o caso.
