Aos 86 anos, morre Hailé Pinheiro, maior símbolo do Goiás Esporte Clube
Dirigente será velado no próprio estádio do Esmeraldino
Hailé Pinheiro foi o maior símbolo do Goiás Esporte Clube. Não à toa, estádio do clube leva o nome do dirigente que chegou ao Esmeraldino em meados de 1963, aos 26 anos. No dia 25 de julho daquele mesmo ano, tornou-se presidente do Verdão. Com isso, Seu Hailé completou 59 anos de Goiás em 2022.
Em resumo, nascido em 13 de junho de 1937, Seu Hailé tentou a carreira de jogador, mas seu destino era mesmo cuidar do futebol fora das quatro linhas. Em homenagem feita a ele no Estádio da Serrinha no final de novembro de 2021, revelou o sonho de ver o Goiás levantando a taça de campeão do Brasileirão e brincou: “eu já fiz muita chantagem com Deus, mas Ele é mais esperto que eu. Falei que se o Goiás fosse campeão brasileiro, Ele poderia me levar. Estou aqui até agora. Não fui campeão, e Ele não me levou”.
No entanto, nesta quarta-feira (7), às 11h30, o maior símbolo do futebol goiano faleceu aos 86 anos. Os detalhes do velório ainda não foram divulgados. Seu Hailé era irmão do memorável Edmo Pinheiro de Abreu, um dos 33 fundadores do Goiás Esporte Clube. A família Pinheiro mostrava que tinha futebol no sangue. Em Itaberaí, cidade natal dos irmãos, foi onde surgiu a paixão pelo esporte.

“Não vou mentir. Tenho dois times de coração que vou guardar para o resto da vida. Eu torcia para o Goiás e hoje também torço para o Flamengo. Serão dois times que eu irei carregar pelo resto da minha, porque o Goiás me deu oportunidade, amor, carinho e respeito, tanto os torcedores, quanto o Seu Hailé Pinheiro, que foi um cara que quando cheguei lá, eu tinha seis peças de roupas, tinha quatro dentes para arrancar. Então, ele chegou e falou pra mim: ‘Calma, eu vou te ajudar’. Portanto, o carinho, o respeito, o amor que eu tenho por aquele clube, é por conta da torcida e pelo Seu Hailé”, declarou Michael em sua despedida do Flamengo no final de janeiro deste ano.
