No Independência, América-MG e Goiás se enfrentaram na noite deste domingo (3), pela 15ª rodada do Brasileirão. Com a derrota, o Esmeraldino retorna a zona de rebaixamento e está na 17ª colocação, com 17 pontos, porém depende de outros resultados para encerrar fora do Z4 nesta rodada. 1º Tempo
Com uma pressão inicial, o América-MG trabalhou suas jogadas e chegou com perigo. Pedrinho dominou dentro da área e bateu, porém a bola passou à direita da baliza de Tadeu. Após isso, Cáceres cruzou e encontrou Alê, livre, que finalizou de primeira, mas mandou por cima do gol. Por outro lado, o Goiás buscava construir jogadas acionando Pedro Raul na esquerda e Dieguinho pela direita.
Na primeira chegada do Goiás, Pedro Raul roubou a bola pela esquerda e arriscou de fora da área, porém a finalização passou com perigo por cima da baliza de Cavichioli. Por sua vez, o América-MG respondeu com Everaldo. Após rebote de escanteio, o atacante bateu cruzado, com força, mas direto para fora. No lance seguinte, o Esmeraldino chegou com velocidade e o camisa 11 arriscou de cobertura, no entanto, a batida saiu para a linha de fundo.
O América-MG seguiu pressionando e teve as melhores chances do jogo, porém teve dificuldade em passar pela zaga e no último passe. Por outro lado, o Goiás pouco esteve no campo ofensivo, mas levou perigo nas chegadas de Pedro Raul. Com isso, o 1º tempo terminou empatado sem gols, no Independência.
2º Tempo
Do mesmo modo, o América-MG chegou com Pedrinho, que finalizou livre dentro da grande área e parou na grande defesa de Tadeu. Em seguida, após cruzamento pela direita, Henrique Almeida cabeceou e a bola carimbou o travessão. Na chegada do Goiás, Pedro Raul fez o giro sobre a marcação e bateu cruzado tirando tinta da baliza de Cavichioli. Em seguida, Dadá Belmonte arriscou na entrada da área, mas não conseguiu êxito na tentativa.
O América-MG abriu o marcador aos 13′, com Henrique Almeida. Assim, após tabelinha com Pedrinho, o camisa 19 bateu de primeira para o fundo da rede. Por outro lado, o Goiás chegou com Pedro Raul, que conduziu arriscou da intermediária, mas parou na defesa Cavichioli. Na chegada do Coelho, Matheusinho acionou Henrique, que finalizou com liberdade, porém parou na grande defesa de Tadeu.
Aos 39′, Henrique Almeida quase marcou o seu segundo gol e do América-MG. Após rápido contra-ataque, Juninho acionou na profundidade o camisa 19, que limpou a marcação e bateu, mas a bola carimbou a travessão de Tadeu. Na resposta do Goiás, Maguinho cruzou na medida para Pedro Raul, que cabeceou e Cavichioli não conseguiu segurar. No rebote, o lateral arriscou e mandou por cima do gol.
