A 1ª chance clara da 1ª etapa foi do Vila Nova, aos 10′. Após cobrança de escanteio, Alesson chutou ao gol, mas o lace foi fraco e fácil para o goleiro Matheus Albino defender.
No entanto, o 1º gol da partida foi Galo da Praia, aos 15′, quando a defesa colorada não conseguiu afastar a bola. Em resumo, Anselmo Ramon ficou com a sobra na área, chutou com o pé esquerdo e Dênis Júnior não evitou o gol. Sendo assim, CRB 1 x 0 Vila Nova.
